Ground Investigation at Graig Ddu, Porth

Jackson Geo Services were appointed to conduct an investigation to assess slope stability and monitor ground movement due to concerns of instability at a historic colliery. The scope of work included through the spoil heap onto coal measures and the installation of Vibrating Wire Piezometers, Inclinometers and standard water monitoring standpipes and piezometers.

Geo Environmental Assessment to Allow Redevelopment of a Former Farm Site

As part of the redevelopment of a former farm site the local authority required an assessment of any impact to soil quality or groundwater to discharge specific planning conditions. Jackson Geo Services designed and undertook a geo environmental (Phase I&II) assessment of the site in accordance with BS10175+A2(2017) and made recommendations on required remedial measures.
